No! I screamed when I discovered it was going to be on... Ouch! Sorry, Marco. I didn't even record it, as I was home at the time, so I can't offer you anything but sympathy. Maybe they'll show it in October? I'm sure I would have loved these movies as a child. I could never claim that, but I sure d...

Sorry, I'm the one and only non-Ramones fan. I've loved punk from Television to the Distillers, but I never understood them.

Hey, Marco! Didn't know you were still around! Did you finally see "Little Nellie Kelly" the other day? I loved it. Sorry to disrupt the thread.

I've always loved Tim Russert. I stopped watching MSNBC months ago because of all the blowhards there, but I always made time for "Meet the Press" and "The Tim Russert Show". Classy guy, always fair.

I loved "Rock & Roll High School" (though I hated the Ramones), but I never saw any visual or thematic ideas in it other than PJ Soles jiggling across the screen. :D

Being a former runner, my most vivid memories of McKay are of his coverage of Dave Wottle's 800-meter run and Frank Shorter's marathon at Munich. Brilliant. I can hardly remember anything he said regarding the massacre, though. Either I was too young to appreciate it, or I've blocked it out. I watch...

Anne, I agree about "Medium". The first season was well-written, but it starting sinking fast during the second year. And every time Patricia Arquette would break into one of her ridiculous crying scenes (as close to actually saying boo-hoo as anyone I've ever heard), I'd run screaming fro...

Chris, I don't think it's us. I think the writers get lazy and keep reusing the same ideas over and over, correctly assuming most of us won't notice or care. The only comedy that ever stayed fresh for me was "Seinfeld", and thankfully they quit before I tired of it as I did "M*A*S*H&q...

No more so than if they played post-1950 country, disco, new age, or John Williams. I think some of the worst soundtracks in movies were from the 60's and 70's though, trying too hard to sound hip with horrific elevator music. Sure, there were some good ones, but most just make me cringe. Since I ra...

Thanks for the heads-up on the re-broadcast, Hollis. It didn't change my mind at all, just made me angrier. I had a friend in college from Huntsville, and his stories of the partying ouside the prison walls are still with me. Makes me really Texas-proud. Fortunately, I'll never sit on a death ...

Are you referring to a very large sum of money? First I'd figure out how much to set aside for myself to live on a bare-bones budget. The same for my mom and the rest of the immediate family. The rest would go to children's charities, animal welfare, and scholarships for the underprivileged. "I...

I love my squirrels. They patiently wait for their handful of sunflower seeds each morning. The only plants they've ever disturbed are potato vines, which must have tasty leaves and tubers. As for rabbits, they never eat anything in my yard except grass and weeds, so they're welcome to raise their y...

I like movies. But the concept of "filmmaking" flies so far over my head that what little hair remains is not disturbed in the least. That's why I seldom post an opinion as well. I'm the board dummy. The same goes for modern art and free verse poetry. I'm stuck somewhere around 1880.

I loved "Too Bad She's Bad", but was a bit surprised to see the blonde hair. A very cute and funny film, I thought De Sica really stole the show, but Loren and Mastroianni were good as well. I dozed off during the first minutes of "Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow", proving as alwa...
