Thanks for all the feedback! Hey, this morning, TCM posting suddenly is working like a charm, so maybe they fixed some of the problems, dunno. The post reply window is opening first try on two occasions, and that just wasn't happening for me since they changed the board a week or so ago. Still lacki...

I've been having the same problems over on the TCM boards. It can take anywhere from 3-4 up to 20 times to post a reply or message, and sometimes I just give up. I've seen a few things I wanted to reply to in the past week or so, but have just passed on it, figuring it's not worth the trouble. I'm e...

ECSTASY (1933) and BLONDIE JOHNSON (1933)

Hi friends!

I wonder if anyone has either or both of these films for trade?? I missed ECSTASY the other night on TCM, as my recording time was off, and I'd also love to get the WB pre-code gangster film BLONDIE JOHNSON, which hasn't been on TCM recently but hopefully someone has it?? Thank you!

Thank goodness for long weekends!!! Yay! I've been a watching fool!! Been watching lots of pre-codes! THE KID FROM SPAIN (1932), great little musical comedy with Eddie Cantor and Robert Young, and tons of great looking dames in scantily clad outfits (yowza for da pre-code era!!)--this was the only o...

I totally agree with most here who have been disappointed with Mary Astor in the 41 MALTESE FALCON. I love Mary in many films, but here, she just leaves me totally cold, I never believe her in the part, there is no chemistry between she and Bogie, and in general...just falls flat. The male leads are...

Oh yes, that is the model you wrote about, ok. I'm not sure it will be what I want then. I've also heard you can't do true chase play which is something I like to do many times, as well. Ugh. It sounds like you have been around a very similar block as I. I haven't tried any of the international mode...

Phillips DVDR3575H/37 ??

Hi all, I have the toughest time keeping my dvd recorders healthy, and I have both the Panasonic DMR-EH55S, and the Pioneer 640HS, both with hard drives, which I prefer. Neither are manufactured any longer in the US, and you can't even find them in other outlets, such as ebay, etc, either at all or ...

Hi everyone,
Would anyone who has TCM US, happen to have recorded this one today? It was programmed on my DVR, but somehow it messed up and I only got the last 10 min. I would be happy to trade for it---thank you!!

Like TalkieTime and several others around here, I am a film collector. I have about 3,200 films on DVD-R and another thousand or more on commercial release, after about 2 years of collecting (didn't get into collecting until a few years after I started watching TCM). Up until last week, I did not h...

I'm with you all the way pktrek. On Robert Mitchums day, I was more than happy to sit and not move through practically the entire 24 hours, but they did play a couple I had never seen before, and one or two that I had only seen once, so that particular day really held my interest. But as you said, ...
