Thanks for the link Dewey, I had read about what he did to John Cassavetes. I really have to look for "The World's Greatest Sinner" But it's real hard to find.

My favorite role with Carey is in 1962's " Convicts 4 "as Nick. He really go's overboard with his depiction of his character. With him saying "Hey, JOHNNNNNNN you wanta bite of my bean Sam-midge" He had a uniquely twisted screen presence. Just looking at his eyes ,you could tell ...

She is great in "The Killing" But, I really get a kick out of "Timothy Carey" this guy was really ahead of his time. He had a obscure acting style.

There was something I liked in Hodiak.Maybe it's because I do have several films that he's in. Lifeboat, Battleground, Desert Fury, Across the Wi de Missouri and Somewhere in the Night . I didn't think he was that bad in "Somewhere in the Night". I think he never really showed his star qua...

Tax $$$ Time

I know it Tax Season. But some get rebates. What one thing are you looking forward to buy with the extra (if any) money you get?

I FINALLY purchased a DVR (woo-woo) with a 80 gig Hard drive. So I won't miss the great films TCM plays during the daytime hours while I'm at work.

I love the film. I can't get the song "Little Joe" out of my head each time I watch it.
You gotta love Charles Winninger as Washington Dimsdale. Favorite Mischa Auer role (except for "Carlo" in My Man Godfrey)

Edmund O'Brien plays an uncredited Inmate in "Brute Force" In the credits they even mention Fred Mac Murray and Claudette Colbert because of the film (The Egg & I) that the prisoners watch.

I was just there at TCM and they are cleaning house. There are missing posts and some were just there 10 minutes ago and now gone. I hope they got rid of the right posters. There is a couple who signed up just today. I hope there not trying to return under different names. I think TCM Monitors are f...

Always liked Grahame, Just resently watched " Sudden Fear " with Grahame, Joan Crawford and Jack Palance. Thought she never showed her true potential. She kind of faded out in the late 50's. Maybe it was due to the Nicholas Ray marriage. Why she would put cotton in her mouth to make her li...

I don't think they were married. After Edna May Oliver left RKO for MGM. Hildegarde was played by Helen Broderick and then Zazu Pitts. Penguin Pool Murder (1932) Murder on the Blackboard (1934) Murder on a Honeymoon (1935) Murder on a Bridle Path (1936) The Plot Thickens (1936) Forty Naughty Girls (...

I feel the same way Anne. I'll pick Fiction everytime. Give me a Dean Koontz or James Patterson and I'm in heaven. I do however like Bio's from time to time.

I love both films (almost equally)But I have to say " The Killers ". Maybe because it's Lancaster's screen debut. The story in flashbacks is a plus. I do agree with Yvonne DeCarlo as a " better " femme fatale. The cast in both are great. I think I like the dialogue in The Killers...
