Re: OBITUARIES

All that I knew of it is that police on the chase first arrested John Elway because the APB said to stop a slow-moving white Bronco. (...but first it wouldn't be as funny, and secondly with this reference being so old, I'd wonder if anyone around here would even get the joke in the first place) The...

Re: I Just Watched...

I'd never heard of Stopette until I started watching WML reruns on the Game Show Network years ago. They would show the entire original show with period commercials (and then add their own modern ones too), so a 30 minute episode ran 40 minutes. It is currently shown on: Buzzr. It retains the origi...

Re: OBITUARIES

I'm one of the few Americans who never saw any of the trial, so my filter is just based on what the media & others have said afterwards. I was living in London almost the entire time. I returned to the US just a day before the trial ended. All that I knew of it is that police on the chase first...

Re: I Just Watched...

What's My Line (1950-1967) was sponsored by: 'Stopette' (Poof! There goes perspiration!) These commercials were usually a talking head but there was one which had a lady in a unitard doing an interpretive dance. It is ... interesting.

Re: Solar Eclipse?

Has anyone tried to blame the eclipse on climate change yet? I have not seen that. I have seen people say that it should have been on a weekend when more people could see and enjoy it. They have not blamed any specific person or agency which they hold responsible for this poor scheduling but they a...

Solar Eclipse?

I wonder how many people here are in a place where they will experience the solar eclipse. We were within driving distance of the path of totality of the eclipse of 2017. I found it to be a unique experience which is difficult to describe. What was easy was understanding why people long thought they...

Re: Humorous Memes

Of course and then again, there WAS that one time Warren Beatty invited me on his Lear Jet to fly to Nova Scotia to see a total eclipse of the sun, but I had already made other plans and so I had to decline his generous offer. (...he's so vain otherwise, ya know) It is easy when learning English to...

Re: Humorous Memes

Well, they certainly don't get any more topical than this one here, eh Masha?! ;) (...so, are you and Little Fuzzy in the path of the total eclipse?) It was a very short drive for us to be in an area of totality in 2017. We knew a person who lived there and were able to station ourselves in his bac...

Re: Murder, She Wrote on Start TV

I wish all to know that: Murder, She Wrote (1984–1996) now has its own live channel on: PlutoTV.

The interesting thing about: PlutoTV is that there are fewer commercials and many less glitches when watching a live channel rather than watching a" On Demand programme.
