Re: Big changes at your local Bijou

i am a blood relative of the beginning. My Grandfather was one of the first projectionist at the Capitol Theater in New York City. He would bring me there as a young boy to watch him work threading projectors and work the spotlights for the stage shows. It was thrilling for me. I got to recognize th...

Re: WHAT FILMS HAVE YOU SEEN LATELY?

It is amazing how censors caved in for sex stimulation and somewhat reduced the level of smoking in today's films. There seems to be a much higher level of crime and sexual violence today compared to the suggested inuendo of sexual depravity from 40 or 50 years ago. Do you remember all of the films ...

I think your new avatar is, perhaps, one Rita's best and sexiest pictures.

Re: Alexis Smith

Alexis Smith was always my secret beauty. Secret because she always looked more mature than most other actresses and I did not want anyone to think I was in love with my Mother. I thought Aexis was georgous in a beautiful way and not a sexy way. I loved her in "Night And Day" and "Rha...

Re: *CANDIDS*

It started with Eve was the Deanna Durbin Flick. I, of course, liked that too. Girls who played "country girls" often did not wear hosiery but they did like lots of makeup all over their bodies. Deanna Durbins "Spring Parade" was an example of bare legs down on the farm, Many &qu...

Re: *CANDIDS*

One noticeable problem I have is that my great love, Deanna Durbin, is almost never seen with other celebrities other than stars of her own pictures. Do I detect either she was not popular or too aloof to be in public crowds. I am startlelingly upset but curious for the answer.

Re: Shall We Dance, but not Astaire version

I luuved the Gere movie and I think Richard Gere is a better actor personality in his senior years than before. There are so many movies he made that I liked. Another "Dance" movie I like very much is "Dance With Me" with Vanessa Williams, Chayanne, Kris Christopherson, and Joan ...

Movie People From Passaic, New Jersey

I was raised in Passaic, New Jersey, a small town 15 miles west of Midtown Manhatten, New York City. I never realized the wealth of movie people from that town until I came across this list.

Re: MEMORIAL DAY

Hi everyone. I noticed that few people mention the Korean war that I was a part of. I never saw combat but served in the Electronic Signal School in Fort Gordon, Georgia. As an instructor in the school I helped develop young minds in the field of communication so that radio phones could function to ...

Re: WHAT MUSICALS HAVE YOU SEEN LATELY?

I am on board here. Kathryn grayson is on of my favorites. My favorite movie is "It Happened In Brooklyn". She sings the Bell song like few others. Her comedy and song with Frank Sinatra is a charm. She has a commanding voice. When she sings everyone listens.

Re: WHAT FILMS HAVE YOU SEEN LATELY?

I watched "You Were Never Lovlier" again for the 6th time and enjoyed it immensly. Rita and Fred make a great couple. I did not like the title song but the dance to it was beautiful. Rita Hayworth was, in that movie, as beautiful as ever. It was easy to fall in love with her. I read somewh...
