I'm enjoying all these kindly replies, but with all these films being thrown out - Well, looks like I will have to pick and choose ;) I haven't seen A Street Car Named Desire either, as a matter of fact. I guess I should really check that one out. mrsl , what do you think of The Wild One ? I know yo...

This week on Turner

April 29th through May 5th - I'm not finding much to watch this week on TCM, but my tastes are kind of limited  So I thought maybe some of you could tell me what you are looking forward to watching this week... And perhaps the weeks after that. I love to try new movies and perhaps if you could...

Danny: Here is the picture of Sniffles I talked about. (Thanks to Mo for helping me.) It was done by a friend as a Christmas present at my wife's request. He did it from a freeze frame of "Bedtime for Sniffles." It's the one where he waits for Santa. http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u20...

I love the "Sniffles the Mouse" cartoons. Was that MGM or Warners he was "under contract" to? This little guy, right? http://www.whidbey.com/chmleigh/sniffles.jpg That's him! Isn't he cute? That is what is wonderful about this forum in particular, you can get other people's view...

I whole heartedly second Chris' thoughts... That what's so wonderful about art, it is a part of you and only you. No one can draw like you do, that's what makes it so special. It's amazing how in some people's drawings you can tell how they were feeling when the drew it, like an insight into their m...

I once watched [/b]Silence Of The Lambs[/b] when I was a little girl, and it SCARED ME STRAIGHT! I went outside the same night to play with my dog, and wouldn't cross the yard I was so scared... I stayed there for the longest time clung to the neck of my pooch!

Now it's my turn to apologize ;) But it is finals week and I have just gotten home from an exaustive night class, packed full of test info :P Where do I start? About Flynn... You know, his adventures of Robin Hood is an essential this week so I guess I should check it out! I've never been really att...

Someone recommended this film to me last time it aired on TCM, and I have to say I have been waiting for it to be re-aired so I could record it. I found it most endearing, and the whole way the soldiers are treated upon their return home is moving. But I can understand someone not liking it due to t...

Thanks so much Hollis and Moira, you are all very kind. :D It's nice to meet others who like to draw... I bet your art is beautiful! Portraits are difficult, but I'm stumped when it comes to drawing anything else. See like I was telling pk I lack the ability sometimes just to branch out on my own an...

I wouldn't have been able to answer this honestly until last night, for it was the first time I saw Lloyd on film. I found him very funny, especially A Sailor-Made Man that aired last night on Turner. I love Chaplin... He was the first silent comedian I came to enjoy. But it was more of a strange at...
