Thanks for the info, Kingrat. Haven't heard of either of these films and will certainly look them up. The blitz was a fascinating part of the war story, often lost, at least on this side of the pond, in favor of the activities that took place after we became directly involved.

Let's face it. The General is the ideal film to demonstrate to young people who won't even watch a film that isn't in color much less SILENT that we old folks know whereof we rant!

Truly agree, Eric. It's an always-entertaining classic. All the more amazing when you consider when and how it was made. With all their computer graphics tricks, today's films are rarely entertaining on a second viewing. I don't think they're likely to still be watched 80 years from now.
