The Other End Of The Line
I just saw this movie and thought it was quite a nice romantic love story of an Indian girl who works for Citi Bank in India as a Customer Support Rep. She supports their credit card line along with about 50 + fellow workers on the telephone. She develops a relationship with an American boy and they...

Re: Where Is Tarzan
I love these comments. Keep them coming - I am trying to learn about all the Tarzans. My memory is not so keen but I do remember Johnny Weismuller the most.

Where Is Tarzan
There seem to be about 32 Tarzan movies made since 1933 including the much later animated ones. Yet I do not see continued discussions about any Tarzan movie. Are they so bad and too distasteful to discuss or maybe we have no Tarzan fans here. Which is it? Are there any Tarzan lovers on this board a...

Re: WHAT MUSICALS HAVE YOU SEEN LATELY?
I too am in love with Deanna Durbin. I do love her early movies but my most favorite is a little older when she did "His Butler's Sister". With Pat O'Brian and Franchot Tone she was the most versatile in this flick as an adult and to me she was the most beautiful of any of her 21 movies. S...

Re: WHAT SILENTS & PRE-CODES HAVE YOU SEEN LATELY?
OH MY God!!! Ann Harding I apologize profusely. I was misled when purchased and I bought the title not the version. I never looked it up until now. I went back into my personal 283 movie collection index on Excel and made the change. I am embarrassed that my efforts as a historian were dashed by th...

Re: WHAT SILENTS & PRE-CODES HAVE YOU SEEN LATELY?
I saw the 1932 movie "Smilin Through" with Jeanette MacDonald and Brian Aherne and was amazed to see that it was in color. It was an early technical feat but quite nice.

Deanna Durbin and why did she really retire?
I have been pondering all the reasons why Deanna Durbin never appeared in other big movies even as a special appearance. She made her 21 starring movies and ended it all through retirement. It is strange that almost all other musical stars did cross over to be seen in bit parts for other stars. But ...

Re: CARY GRANT
I have been watching several movies with Cary Grant lately and observed a disturbing characteristic. His eyes are forever wandering. He never seems to be able to talk to his target. I wonder if he had a memory problem and was always looking around for a "cue" card. His facial serious glanc...

Re: My Passion Is The Great Movie Opera Singers of 1930-1940
I have been reviewing the movie Opera singers and have come to the conclusion that Grace Moore excites me the most. Her voice is magnifiscent and she sings pure Opera. Her personality is magnetic and she has the lovliest smile. In The King Steps Out everyone falls in love with her. When she sings M...

Rita Hayworth Revisited
I have recently become infatuated with Rita Hayworth and love some of her movies I have. So I looked up her filmography and was startled at her three careers. She started in movies in 1935 as Rita Cansino then changed her name to Rita Hayworth and made many films as a character actress. Then in 1941...

Re: You dont need no stinkin tip
I support tipping and tipping well except for very very high priced meal prices. I recognize that waiters and waitresses are not "executive Sales Managers" of large corporations but they are trying to earn a buck serving me. If they make an effort they deserve to get some of my money. I ha...
