Thanks for sharing another great painting. I'm guessing the Garbo pic on the forum is yours too? Keep up the good work and remain inspired by your favorites.

Wow, your work is amazing! I really hope you continue painting the images that inspire you. Thanks for showing us this haunting piece from the film.

Silentscreen, thanks for posting a clip. I've never seen it before and now I'm interested.

Recently I bought "Charley's Aunt" but haven't watched it yet. Any opinions from those that have seen this film?

It was my first time watching it and I thought it was hilarious! If it were up to me I'd let out a few reticulated pythons to control the population and collect the snakes again. The film sequences were strategic in taking closeups of the teeth and bloody faces to make these fur balls look menacing....

I wasn't able to catch the whole movie but the ending certainly was bizarre. It's the first time I see one of Walter Houston's early films.

It's a shame their marriage didn't work. Here's a nice clip of them singing "Love And Marriage".

You're welcome! I'm sure you'll have a blast as I did in the beginning of the film. Let me know your thoughts after seeing it.

Wow, I would have never thought to see Mummy fans in here. Arnold Vosloo is an excellent actor that knows how to play villains naturally. I'm a huge fan of both films and Jerry Goldsmith's score in the first one is breathtaking. All the actors were terrific and the dialog witty. "The Rock"...

Has anyone seen "Hollywood Cavalcade"(1939)? I recorded it last week and what a pleasant surprise! Buster Keaton is shown in the film as Alice Fay's silent movie partner and the gags they pull off is so hilarious. Don Ameche plays the director who discovers Faye and makes her a star. Great...

I remember recording this charming film early last year and enjoying every bit of it. It had moments of humor, drama, action and nice imagery. It also gave me an insight on the sad way animals were kept on bare concrete floors and small cages but then again they didn't have sufficient info back then...

I haven't come here in a long time and I'm so upset for missing that! It has to be the same feature shown last year that I wasn't able to record. From now on I'll definitely be more attentive to the times in between each film to see if I can catch it. Thanks a ton for the heads up! Tracy, it would b...

"The Beloved Rogue" is such an entertaining film and Conrad's character gives it a touch of insanity to go along with the comedy. King Louis XI reminded me a bit of Ivan the Terrible in "Waxworks". Going back to John Barrymore, have you seen "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde"? T...

Yesterday I watching "Frontier Marshal"(1939) and the instant Randolph Scott appeared on screen from afar, I couldn't help seeing a resemblance to Gary Cooper. He has some of the same mannerisms and similarities in the tall physique. Does anyone else think so?
