Okay, folks, as we are all getting excited about the Festival and the potential for meeting each other in person, it is time to announce the 2011 In-N-Out unofficial TCM City gathering!

For the record, this gathering is not organized by or endorsed by TCM. Just wanted to post that in case it was necessary to say that.

The history: last year a few of us gathered at In-N-Out in the afternoon of the Opening Day. All of us were brought together by this message board as well as the mother ship (which we affectionately call TCM City). Some of us (Kyle, filmlover, Suex2 and myself) had meet in real life over the years and were already friends in real life. Others we only knew from the message boards and we immediately bonded with.

We had so much fun that when this year's festival was announced, we knew we would be doing this again and inviting more folks.

We wanted to wait until after the schedule was announced to make the plans.

And here they are:

When: Thursday, April 28th

Time: Immediately following the TCM Meet the Staff panel (approximately 2:15-2:30)

Where: the lobby of the Hotel Roosevelt

Or, if you would like, you can meet us at the In-N-Out at 7009 Sunset Blvd (just a block or two south of the Hotel).

So, who's in?

My plane is due to arrive in Los Angeles at 11:52, so if I can get my luggage and get to the hotel in time, I'll be in. But if I'm not there, please don't wait for me. :)

Former SSO guest star, JB Kaufman will be introducing Walt Disney's Laugh-O-grams next Thursday evening at 6:00 pm in the Chinese Multiplex #4 theater as part of this year's TCM Film Festival.

As part of our participation in the Festival, the Walt Disney Family Museum asked JB to write a short article for our blog, Storyboard on the grams and why he is so excited to have this wonderful opportunity:

The Laugh-O-grams screen again on Sunday late afternoon at 5:45 as well.

Pianist Ben Model will be providing the live music!

We hope to see you there!

I just learned yesterday from JB that one of the Laugh-O-grams being shown will be the uncut version of Puss In Boots. This means the homage to Rudy Vaselino, er, Valentino will be screened to an appreciative audience.

If you haven't seen the uncut version of Boots or any of the other grams, you are in for a real treat!

Hope to see you there!

Wanna share a cab? I fly into LAX at 12:30pm! I'll be flying Virgin (the airline -- not Doris Day). Yippee!

Paula, I am planning on going to see Peter O'Toole inducted....how about you? What are some of your favorites?

Moraldo? Kingrat? I am so excited!!!! I am wearing a cowgirl outfit one day to celebrate Roy Roger's 100th! I'll have to leave my pearl-handled pistols at home, though. For some reason,
I just can't seem to make it through security with them anymore....
