Whoa! A lot of big names this year.

I am most looking forward to Myrna!

Then Van, Lillian, Toshiro!!!!, Freddie, Anthony Quinn, and I'm surprised to say, Warren William. But I'll be glad to see every one of the stars picked do their stuff.

sigh. maybe next year Glenda.

James Caan? There's one out of left field.

I thought so too, but didn't want to put a damper on the whole thing. He is in one of the Rio's. Is he perhaps going to make an appearance at a festival in future?

TCM does run movies from what I personally don't think of past eras -- i.e., 60s, 70s, 80s, even 90s -- so James Caan isn't that huge a surprise, though he's not a favorite of mine. (And I really can't stand his son Scott... sorry Scott! I'm sure you're a nice guy in person! But you don't do anything for me when I see you on the tube!) Maybe they can get Caan to come in to do some remarks regarding his movies... it would be cool to have a still-living (and still working) actor on hand to reminisce.

By the way, all the bold formatting that indicated TCM premieres went blooey when I posted this, so I have edited it and bolded the TCM premiere titles.

Looks like a great month. Each year I hope they'll have a Joan Blondell Day on her birthday -- August 31. I now hold this hope for next year. Kingme, you'll have an additional Rita Hayworth when they screen Cover Girl on Gene Kelly's day. Mifune = very cool! Wish "Pandora and the Flying Dutchman" were included on James Mason's day. Gish? Love it. I might as well call in sick for Kay Francis and Irene Dunne's days. Ah! I see that "Pandora" made it on Ava Gardner's list! I knew you wouldn't let me down, TCM. Now about that Joan Blondell day...

Maybe Joanie and Glenda will be back to back next year, Moraldo.

The lineup looks great, but I would also love a Joan Blondell day.

What! No The Major and The Minor on Ginger Rogers' Day? All is lost!

You're so lucky having a Warren William day, all those precodes and Kay Francis, Irene Dunne, James Mason, Ava Gardner, Deborah Kerr. How does anyone get any work done in America in August?

Warren William rocks!
