In a reoccurring role, Burstyn is presently playing actor Chris Meloni's geriatric dementia-suffering mother on TV's 'Law & Order: Organized Crime'.

(...and as usual, she's terrific)

Dargo, I must admit I don't want to see so many actors playing dementia patients. If that's cowardly of me, so be it. I'd rather see them playing an older person as vital as the actors themselves are.
I understand your sentiment here, KR. Wouldn't it be great if in real life all the elderly in the world could be as spry and sharp-minded as Norman Lloyd was until the day he passed, but as I'm sure you know, this isn't often the case.

The thing however with how Ellen Burstyn plays the character on Law & Order and how the part is written is that she is mostly quite coherent but just occasionally laspes into a sense of forgetfulness, and as I would think would be the behavior of quite a few of those at 90 years of age out there.

(...and which is Ellen's present age)

My favorite actress! Fabulous in THE GRIFTERS, THE WITCHES, ENEMIES: A LOVE STORY and, well, everything else.

That is a fine picture of Errol Flynn, and of course Speedracer5 would agree, but we just did that.
Anjelica Huston is gonna get very drunk Dargo.
I'm not a fan of (24 Hours) Under the Stars.
12+12 would work a little better for me.
Summer In the Sun/Summer Under the Stars.
I'm freaking brilliant!
Let's get real. 24 hours of Bob Hope.
I may spend that day backing up my hard drive.

Robert Donat

My adoration of this charming, talented, melliflous-voiced actor knows no bounds.

He co-stars (with Marlene Dietrich) in what I consider the most romantic movie ever made: KNIGHT WITHOUT ARMOUR. I realize many might disagree but it is a personal favorite that I cherish.

Robert shines in Hitchcock's THE 39 STEPS, THE GHOST GOES WEST, GOODBYE, MR. CHIPS and other "under the radar" British films we unfortunately seldom get to see or revisit.

Bronxgirl, GOODBYE, Mr. CHIPS is one of my favorite movies and this is largely due to Robert Donat's performance in the title role.
The movie marks the screen debut of Greer Garson, who is one of my favorite actors of all time.

Holden, Robert and Greer are so wonderful in GOODBYE, MR. CHIPS. Such a heartwarming yet ultimately heartbreaking romance....No matter how many times I see this movie I am always devastated for him.

In my opinion Garson should have won her first Oscar for PRIDE AND PREJUDICE, joining the deserved second win for MRS. MINIVER.

At least I can get my Donat fix today with the Deborah Kerr SUTS line-up: VACATION FROM MARRIAGE.
