Board Name Change

Post by SSO Admins »

Well, the people have spoken, and Silver Screen Oasis is our new name.

I registered the URL http://silverscreenoasis.com. Once it has propagated (usually 24-48 hours) I will change the board path. I will also set up a redirect from the current URL, so the old bookmarks will still work.

I have a lot to do this weekend, but I'll try to get everything changed over by Sunday. Except for the half hour or so when I'm actually changing the path, the board will continue to work normally.

Also, if you did not vote for The Plastic Age, you are going to be banned.

Hey Jon,

Can I bribe you with a picture of the Walking Box Ranch? :D

Hmmm, tough ante to "see" . .
OK, what if I bribe Moira with a color photo of Yours Truly in full Highland regalia?
I'm assuming you wouldn't be interested!

Au Contraire,

I would be very interested but Jon will have to speak for himself.

Lesson: never underestimate the lure of Clara Bow.

Quel doux, ma petite chou-chou!
(Forgive me, my Gaelic works best with toasts, threats & insults.)
Actually, truth to tell, I chose to target Moira specifically because she has shown such extreme patience with me in all my perverse moods over the past year, that I am confident in abusing her good nature.

Pssst, don't tell her I said so!

Just to reiterate, nothing should change from a user perspective. Everything will work pretty much the same as it does now, and your old bookmarks will also work.

Further announcement: I have been successfully bribed into rescinding the ban. But I still like my name best.

Well, it must be Spring. A frisky Klondike in full Highland regalia...hmmm,...will the photo be a New England version of Roger Livesey? Let me weigh this decision carefully: idealization, reality, idealization, reality, idealization, reality.
Uh, can I get back to you? I have to go up in the attic to find my magic 8 ball to make this decision for me.

Hey Thanks, Miss G.,
Mustang!!--Nah, I only drive old chevys. I've no idea who he is, except a little breed called a gif. that I came across--only slightly smaller than a Morgan.
