I read in another thread that there was a movie version of this book? Does anyone know if it's available on VHS or DVD? I really enjoyed the book (and just about anything Garson Kanin wrote, actually) and would love to see the film, even if it's bad.

Tracey, I remember that miniseries. It was divided into three parts: "The Silent Lovers", The Scarlett O'Hara War" and "This Year's Blonde". I recall that it was quite good, with interesting casting: Barry Bostwick as John Gilbert and Kristina Wayborn as Greta Garbo, for instance. Nice insight into early Hollywood. Never saw it again after its initial run, and I don't think the whole or any of its parts have been (as yet) released to home video.
