Has anyone seen all those videos with the Lily Tomlin/David O. Russell feud from "I Heart Huckabees?" There are quite a few-including parodies-on You Tube. Actually, I wonder if it's a "real" feud, because it is pretty over-the-top extreme. I would post one here, but the language is pretty explicit...Check 'em out...

Hi Ben, I haven't seen that on YouTube, but dial up makes it very difficult for me to view any type of vids  But I do have to say I like YouTube, and hope it sticks around. When I go to my bro's house he lets me get on the highspeed and I just go nuts for hours  I love the musical montages they do with Cary Grant and other classics. It's really inspired me and I want to get into making the vids like that. Pretty cool...

If you You Tube, check out Angela Johnson at the Nail Salon. I fell off my pedestal with that one!

Am I the only super-nerd who watches fan-made videos of Deep Space Nine on You Tube? :P

Yes, you are a super-nerd!

Hey, I'm married to an uber-geek, and I love it. At least one of us knows how to fix the computer!

YouTube is great, but strange, too. A friend of mine from college has something like 300 videos that are just him sitting in front of his webcam talking about his philosophy on life and such. It's very strange for me to read comments to him from people that don't know him personally either praising him or trashing him.

 Yeah...we are good for that, aren't we?

(*looking furtively at my nephew's iPod, which my sister forces me to control and download for, since neither she nor my bro-in-law can even send email with a high rate of success* )

I work in a large company in the tech field, and this whole place is like nerd heaven. Yesterday on the social list we had a discussion about how we could set up guided missile launchers to guard the snack machines.

Either that, or a robotic dart tower.

I, being the voice of reason, suggested phasers set on 'stun'. And didn't even get mocked! :D

sandy,

I know what you mean regarding YouTube comments. I had to stop reading the comments. The comments about a particular video are sometimes so off-the-wall, they ruin the experience of watching perfectly good video. We live in strange times. I wonder if Nostradamus had anything to say about the subject of the YouTube phenomena?

Hey, Youtube is finally able to show some of the WKRP episodes with the original music again!

There were problems resulting in the fact that the classic rock tunes the imaginary radio station played were copyrighted. For awhile these were pulled and I don't think they are on the seasonal DVD sets.

This ruined a lot of the show's humor as evidenced in this clip. Enjoy 'em while you can:

Well, if you love DS9, take a look at this, which was made by one of my posters in the DS9 forum at TrekBBS:

I'm like a proud mother hen over that video. :)

Another good one, of the Big Space Battle in Favor the Bold/Sacrifice of Angels is this one here:

You get no argument from me. Fantastic compilations - they really capture the essence of the show.

I heartily agree with the quote given in the first entry "The best show on television that no one noticed." I just love DS9 to pieces. The cast got better and better every season. IMO they gave us the very best ensemble acting on any TV show. Ever. (And I've been watching TV since the days of the DuMont network, folks.)
