It's the Walt Disney Family Museum's first anniversary and to celebrate we came up with a video contest.

To explain the contest, I created this video, an homage to silent films, to explain the rules:

Lynn that was terrific!! So cute and imaginative! It made me want to enter the contest...if only I wasn't a camera-phobe! :D

How did you get that old timey look to the film? Was that done in post? It's really neat.

MissG,

I was able to use a desaturation effect that gave it that black and white look and another effect in Final Cut Pro to put the thread in the gate and make it a bit scratchy. Glad you enjoyed it! I wanted it to be an homage to the silents not making fun of them.

Nancy,

If you would like to post a link to it on Facebook (from the original youtube site) that would be great!

Lynn, I added it to my blog too, which you can see here. If you'd rather that I didn't post it there, please let me now and I'll remove it.

You did a really Great job. Next thing you know, you'll be taking lunch at The Ivy and be inking a development deal!

What a great video, Lynn! It's too bad you couldn't enter the contest yourself!

Thanks for kudos, everyone!

Just because I can't enter the contest doesn't mean you guys can't!

The Walt Disney Family Museum is just incredible and the grand prize is a tour for four of the museum!

Oh, knitty! Thanks so much. That was so funny. I love the guy who gave the dog directions too. O Canada, only you would think of having your dogs be mail carriers. And he looked so happy behind the wheel too.

Oh, good, another laugh on a Monday. They should put the National Husbandcare Program outlets in every mall in America and Canada. Imagine how much happier the guys would be than they are standing in the middle of clothes racks while holding the wife's purse, while she tries something on!

I really love the part where all the hubbies hold onto the rope and go for a field trip outside. Just like kindergarten. What a good idea for a business.
