Joe, I have rarely seen any photos of Henry Blanke, a rare producer who seems to have inspired respect and affection in those he supervised on and off the set. Thanks so much for posting that image--he looks as though he is giving Bette Davis a pep talk before a key scene.

Thanks so for posting this Joe. Barbara was amazingly beautiful and it was almost impossible to take a bad picture of her.
She was a natural 'honey blonde'. I had not heard of this. Both her mother and mine, who were very close, have left us and I
had not heard from Barbara since my mother died in 1989. We were close as youngsters and for a time while she was a starlet but
not later. She was the daughter of my mother's brother.
She was life personified. I wonder why it was just announced yesterday when they say she died on the 13th of November?
Strange no one knew. My other cousin died on the 29th of November!

I am so sorry to read of Barbara Lawrence's passing, especially since she was a talented lady and clearly held a dear spot in our friend Martha's life. Beautiful photo to choose for this announcement, Joe and I hope your memories of your cousin are sweet tonight, rerun aka Martha.

Thanks so Moira. We had a lot of fun as children. We sent Morse Code messages by blinking our eyes. Hahahaha I just read why the delay in the announcement. Her youngest son was in intensive care re a bike accident and they waited till it was OK to announce her death.

Thank you, ladies. I only found out today that she died last November. Thanks for the clarification
Marge. Also her date of birth is listed as 1928 on IMDb while other sources state it is 1930? Perhaps you can clear that up, Marge.
I enjoyed Ms. Lawrence as Linda Darnell's sister in "A Letter to Three Wives", "Margie" and "Oklahoma!".

Yes Joe - she was born in 1928 in Carnegie, Oklahoma. She and her mother came to California when she was 9 or 10 and Barbara lived
with us for almost a year.
