Today's birthday boy Richard Beymer in 2007

Richard Beymer is somewhat famous for acting in certain films and television shows bla bla bla . . . the most memorable being "West Side Story" opposite Natalie Wood and the role of Ben Horne on David Lynch's series "Twin Peaks". He hated his performance in "West Side Story" (1961) and left the London premiere half way through the film's screening, before he could be presented to Queen Elizabeth II.

For fifteen years Beymer has been living out in the wilderness of Iowa writing and directing a video-film which doubtfully—because of its oddity—will ever come to your local mainstream theater, but who knows? In spite of evidence to the contrary, Beymer continues to think he exists . . . and so on and so forth bla bla bla. . . .

Here I am, just another "whatever happened to. . .? I was supposed to become a star, director, producer, date models and movie actresses, be on the cover of magazines, jet around the world, be nominated for Academy Awards, be on the late night talk shows hawking my latest film, back presidential candidates, rub elbows with the elite . . . be a somebody. But instead, I'm wallowing here in my self-indulgent paralysis, rock bottom in obscurity.

I love the photo of Amanda Blake. It's from her best age. When she was younger her facial features were a little harsh but as she grew older they softened up quite a bit. Later her eyes became messed up with all the make up they smeared on her. She was a lovely woman and they should have used a lighter touch with her.

I can't understand what's going on with the images. They appear to be okay on my screen.
We'll have to take a further look into this problem. Sorry. Perhaps Moira can help us out.

I too cannot see the images. In the place of each image are messages from Photobucket that the bandwidth has been exceeded and to upgrade to a Pro account.

Looks like the CANDIDS thread is under construction...at the moment.

For whatever it's worth, the images posted in the early years of this thread, which use a different image host (PictureTrail) are still loading normally. The switchover to Photobucket appears to have occurred in early June 2009, and it's at that point that the images go missing.
