Cool picture of a genuine smile on Charlie Bronson. Not something one would see too often.

Were Joan and Fritz lovers at the time? They look like they have good chemistry.

Not sure if they were lovers during "Woman in the Window", Alison. But they were the following year while making "Scarlet Street".

You can download a big version of that Mighty Joe Young photo from here: http://benjohnsonscreencaps.shutterfly. ... abilia/175

More fun with Ben & Terry, at Ben's ranch. This photo was published in the June 8, 1978 issue of Cine Revue, a French film magazine. It's very small in the magazine and not good quality, so this larger scan is pretty grainy -- but still adorable! ;)

Buster Keaton in his WWI army uniform.

He later said, "I resented my uniform, which made me look and feel ridiculous. Apparently, the quartermaster general had never anticipated that anyone under five foot five inches tall would be allowed to join the United States Army."

I suppose in peacetime he wouldn't have been allowed in the Army. I'd read that quote but never seen the picture, he doesn't look too bad in his uniform apart from his shoes looking somewhat too big.

I love that picture of Valentino and the leopard, he looks so cool holding the leopard, like it was the gentlest of kittens. I'm struggling to work out which one is the most handsome, Valentino or the leopard.

His pants look a bit too big as well. Here's some more of what he said:

"My pants were too long, my coat looked like a sack, and wrapping Army puttees around my legs was a trick I never mastered. The size eight shoes handed me were far too big for my size 6 1/2 feet. Old-timers in our outfit had long given up hope of ever getting uniforms that fit them. They had theirs altered at civilian tailor shops. They also bought sturdy workmen’s shoes, which they managed to disguise well enough to pass inspection."

I found the quote and the picture at the military museum website. It also has some information about some of the humorous antics he pulled off while in the army.
