Leslie Howard was once quoted as saying the only thing he enjoyed about Hollywood was the sunshine. That photo I think shows his affection for sun and possibly surf.

Many thanks for the wonderful picture of Paulette Goddard, several pages back...
I am now just returning from a cruise through the Greek Islands, ending with 4 days in Istanbul. So, am just catching up!
On her birthday, 6 others and I all ate a banana split on board to cheer her. They all remembered her and thought it great fun to have her favouite treat with me; as you know, I always have one on her birthday...
