Have you all read that Bones star David Boreanaz and his wife have named their new daughter "Bardot?" Or maybe it's "Bar-dott." What's wrong with "Brigitte?"

Ah, Irene, sweet Irene (pronounced, I believe, "ee-RAYN-nee"); what a wonderful, deep, eye-pleasing spinokopeta of a woman you were, as you flickered through too few good films in your career.
A shame, in a way, that your birthdate didn't align you for making your debut in the 80's rather than the 50's - those eyebrows would've easily branded you a goddess!
In my mind, you rose divinely into our matinee view on a giant oyster shell, regardless the decade!

I'll try that tonight. "Kuklamou (My doll), you're my wonderful spanakopita (chopped spinach pie)."

I'll let you know how it works. Probably better than "haggis".

Aye, most any other hot-snack flirtation works better than an allusion to the "Mighty Chieftain o' the Puddin' Race!"
In the Highlands, your best alternative would be to tickle the sonsie lass' cheek and whisper that she's your wee bonny bridey. :wink:

Spanakopita gets one (at least this one) nowhere. I'm sticking with "my little baklava."

Edited to get rid of that superflous "a" in baklava.

You'll likely be less smitten when you learn that a bridey is a sort of crunchy turnover stuffed with chopped beef, onions & gravy.
Bu' awee wi' all sich . . here's some more Burns for ye:

Scots wha' hae wi' Wallace bled,
Scots wham Bruce hae aften led,
Whe'come to thy gory bed - or to
Victory!
{This poem in its entirety has actually been set to music, and whether piped, sang or both, is very stirring - check it out on YouTube!}

And now we return control of this thread to Mongo, where it belongs!

It sounds delicious, but not very romantic.....

Scots wham Bruce hae aften led,
Whe'come to thy gory bed - or to Victory!
{This poem in its entirety has actually been set to music, and whether piped, sang or both, is very stirring - check it out on YouTube!}
Again, not very romantic (in the man/woman sense), but the language makes me weak..... I will check it out on youtube. Thanks!

Mongo.... back to you....
