Wow, Joe! I confess I never would have recognized Mike Connors from that photo. Mannix is still so ingrained in my consciousness, as his early days as Touch Connors. But God bless and MANY more happy birthdays to come!

Also, remembering a wonderful friend: Robert ("call me Bob") Culp. He could play such arrogant characters (especially as the villain on several "Columbo" episodes), but let me tell you, a nicer, friendlier guy you'd never meet. Met with him a couple of times on trips to California but spoke frequently on the phone. He was especially kind and encouraging to my Media Acting classes here in Winnipeg. I still miss him.

Stone, Robert Culp is one of my wife's favorite villains on COLUMBO (her favorite crime show).
Culp was also good in comedy especially on "Everybody Love's Raymond". He was a Jack of all trades.

My all-time favorite TV show, Joe. And Bob Culp and Jack Cassidy were the two best villains IMO.

BTW: Let me know when the book arrives. Checked with my publisher yesterday and a copy was sent out. Eagerly awaiting your feedback.

Love the photo of one of my favorites, Mae Clarke. Her "Waterloo Bridge" was on TCM recently. A terrific performance by a 20-year-old Mae.

And that photo of Mike Connors. Honestly, when I first opened the page, I thought it was Paul McCartney!

Gracias, Nando. I have a lot of catching up to do. I haven't really watched much on TCM over the past year or two, but I certainly haven't lost my love of classic movies and the people who made them.

Judith! How wonderful. I hope you are well. What a nice surprise.

Now that is an interesting shot, Joe. As Jimmy tells it in his autobiography Cagney by Cagney, Lew Brice would pop into a theater playing THE PUBLIC ENEMY, stay just long enough to watch the scene where Cagney mashes the grapefruit into Mae Clarke's face, then walk out. Just a tiny bit of acrimony there, I'd suspect. And let's be honest, Lew Brice certainly does have a . . . well, shifty look about him in that picture.
