Dear Joe,
If I remember correctly, Bela, Sterling and Paulette were doing a skit on a local television show in the 50's. Also - I think - Helen Hayes was with them. Helen & Paulette were very good friends. And, Paulette would have known Sterling through Burgess Meredith, a good friend of Sterling and a once upon a time husband of Paulette!!!!
And, who said all Hollywood stars didn't know each other???!!!
You may notice Paulette's two aquamarine & diamond bracelets - very expensive.....

Thank you for remembering Marion Davies and Pola Negri on their birthday - the same day!
These are two of my favourite (old!) ladies.....
In fact, I met them on the same day in 1946 at Marion's beach house in Santa Monica and knew them very well till the end of their time(s)....

Larry, thank you for your input. Your knowledge of the events surrounding the stars is always interesting, to say the least, it's always my pleasure to list the birthdays of the older stars who paved the way for the Golden Age of Hollywood.
