Why doesnt TCM ever show this great Billy Wilder WW 2 film & why is it no tyet on DVD. If any film ever deserves a DVD with commentary it is this film. Great work by Erik von Stroheim, as,Rommel , excellent also are Akim Tamiroff & Fortunio Bonanova. Good also are Franchot Tone & Anne Baxter, though I have heard that Paulette Goddard was originally cast in the Baxter errole. I would have loved to have see what Pauline would have done in that role.

I think it is coming in January 4th at 1:15am ET. A second showing in Feb is scheduled.
