If I remember correctly, Moira invited me to this wonderful board. It's nice to come in here and not see people bickering at each other over differences in opinion.

I found this site by accident. I googled "pre-code films" and ended up clicking on this site.

The expertise of the posters here is amazing. I expect to enjoy this site for a long time to come.

Just for a minor bit about me, my lifelong movie habits grew from, but are not exclusive to, three very different movies. The Killing, The Bad Seed and "The Day The Earth Stood Still"

I'm glad to have found a great site.

Ken, sounds to me like you're poised to add a lot to this community; do not hesitate to dive right in to any thread here at SSO - I think you'll find a very pleasing variety of "depths" & "temperatures".

Thanks. I fell and broke my hip and had to have an operation. I was six days in hospital and a month in a rehab without a computer. Still having therapy but think the worst is behind me ( that came out like a pun ).
Thanks for your concern. :t's great to be back ... mel

Mel, a dear friend broke her hip 2 years ago (she's now 86) and she made a full recovery. She doesn't dance anymore (was one of the jitterbuggers) but she does just about everything else. Here's to you, and a full and complete recovery.

Best
