for the most part neither would I, but in the last scene, she shows her athletic skills as she's chased through town by Wayne, doing her own stunts, some of which were dangerous

Barbara Stanwyck in The Furies, The Cattle Queen Of Montana, The Maverick Queen and Forty Guns
Tell your friend, MissG, about FORTY GUNS. Stanwyck's no tomboy in that...she has more testosterone than anyone in the movie (don't let that final scene fool you).

Is a film in which she plays the only daughter of widower Walter Huston, appearring in his final film.Barbara is not a tomboy, but has some very unusual desires . The Anthony Mann directed Western also stars Wendall Corey, Judith Anderson, Gilbert Roland, and Albert Dekker. The film contain a roushing score by Franz Waxman. It should be on DVD.

Don't forget Barbara Stanwyck in Annie Oakley. She was definitely a tomboy.

Never forget Barbara Stanwyck...in anything.

But just as importantly, a huge WELCOME to Ms. kimpunkrock. Now get thee to a Sam Fuller thread.
