The Crowd is one of my all time favorites too, along with The Big Parade. Both are masterpieces of silent film making. I like Vidor's sound films, at least what I've seen, but I don't think he was quite as successful in sound as he was in the silent genre.myrnaloyisdope wrote:A King Vidor silents collection would be fantastic, I have The Big Parade, The Patsy, Show People, and The Crowd, bootlegged, but I would love official releases. The Crowd is easily my favorite silent film.

Ed,
Henry King Directed TOL'ABLE DAVID with Richard Barthelmess. King Vidor did direct THE JACK-KNIFE MAN (1920), THE SKY PILOT (1921). and PEG O' MY HEART (1922).
Just a couple weeks ago, I found a first edition very good condition copy of THE SKY PILOT in Hard-back! The same book that the movie was based on!
