Scoring Three Rare Silent Films for Grapevine Video!

Post by Gagman 66 »

:D Very excited to announce that I am getting the opportunity to compile new musical scores for Rex Ingram's THE CONQUERING POWER (1921), with Rudolph Valentino and Alice Terry, as well as a few other rare Silent films for Jack Hardy's Grapevine Video. Including D. W. Griffith's THE GREATEST QUESTION (1919) with Robert Harron and Lillian Gish. Also a 1924 comedy with Johnny Hines called CONDUCTOR 1492. I am most grateful for this generous chance. These will be released on DVD-R eventually. That is assuming the music is cleared for use, and providing I ever get the projects completed. Hopefully, they bare with me on these. I believe the melodies to be Public-Domain fair.

Here is a glimpse at a sequence from THE CONQUERING POWER with my scoring selections. Please comment on this footage, and the musical accompaniment. Thank you for you help with this matter. Your opinions are much appreciated. DVD will hopefully be available in the next few months for purchase
