The Painted Veil

Postby knitwit45 » June 2nd, 2007, 8:22 pm

Calling all experts! (which really means everyone on this board except me.)

I DVR'd "The Painted Veil" when it was on recently, wanted to watch it again. I first saw this when The Divine One was "Star of the Month", and loved it.

Is it my imagination, or was this recent showing a heavily edited version? I thought there was an entire portion of the film dealing with Herbert Marshall's inattention to his bride, Katrin, missing from the film. Also a large part of the seduction of Katrin by the George Brent character was missing. Am I having ANOTHER senior moment? Any info would be greatly appreciated. And yes, you make make fun of the old gal if you so wish...gently, please!
