Lewis Hamilton, a Scots racing driver

Post by stuart.uk »

In the 60s Scotland's Jim Clark was the worlds greatest Formula One racing driver of his generation, before his fatal accident in 1967.

In the late 60s and early 70 Sir Jackie Stewart was the Scot, who won three World titles.

Scotland haven't reached the same heights since, but Lewis Hamilton is threatening to change that. Last yr inexperiece let him down and he had to settle for 2nd place in the World Drivers Championship. This yr it's so far good for Lewis as he aims to follow in Jim and Jackie's footsteps

I thought he was British born? Either way he's one helluva driver. I hope that after a few years at F1 that he'll migrate to North America. He'd be the Tiger Woods of motorsports in North America for sure.
