Well in my area ... March, April, May, June, and still in July ... nothing but Spring Weather.

The hottest in the Emerald City was 78 degrees last June ... we only had 3 days of that ... the rest of the time its 62-69 degrees with clouds, rain, muggy, and pretty much dismal weather ... that its seems its stuck in Spring Weather for 5 months straight. Our Summer so far has been very 8) compared with the rest of the USA.

We haven't gotten an a 80 degree day yet :!: And, that's the facts folks :!:

How Hot Is It in Kansas City.???

IT'S SO HOT AND DRY Kansas City.....the birds have to use
potholders to pull the worms out of
the ground.

....the trees are whistling for the dogs.

....the best parking place is determined by shade instead of
distance

....hot water comes from both taps.

....you can make sun tea instantly.

....you learn that a seat belt buckle makes a pretty good
branding iron.

....the temperature drops below 95 F (35 C) and you feel a
little chilly.

....you discover that in July it only takes two fingers to
steer your car.

....you discover that you can get sunburned through your car
window.

....you actually burn your hand opening the car door.

....you break into a sweat the instant you step outside at
7:30 A.M.

....your biggest motorcycle wreck fear is, "What if I get
knocked out and end up lying on the pavement and cook to death"?

....you realize that asphalt has a liquid stage.

....the potatoes cook underground, so all you have to do is
pull one out and add butter.

....the cows are giving evaporated milk.

....farmers are feeding their chickens crushed ice to keep
them from laying boiled eggs

IT'S SO DRY IN Kansas City That the Baptists are starting to baptize
by sprinkling,

The Methodists are using wet-wipes,

Presbyterians are giving rain checks,

And the Catholics are praying for the wine to turn
back into water!

Midtown Manhattan reached 105 degrees this afternoon, breaking the previous record for this day by four degrees. It's down to 101 by now.

Our AC broke a blade so since 10pm last night we were at the mercy of the heat. It reached 95 in the house. It doesn't bother me a lot but The Bride was hating life.

A friend from church, who is in the AC business came by tonight and $50 has us on the way to normal. And it is just in time for her to go to bed. 5:00 comes early at Starbucks.

Oh gosh, you poor things! That is terrible. I am glad you are recuperating, today is going to be another scorcher, though not quite as bad.

My heart goes out to all of you. At least when it's cold you can wrap up, when it's that hot, I don't cope at all well.

Hope it cools down for you soon.

Standing at the back door, waiting for the dogs to 'do their thing', from my peripheral vision, I saw little bugs flitting about the light, and for a split second, I thought it was snowflakes....made me remember how AWFUL this past winter was. Had to dig out a path in the back yard for the dogs...watching the whole time, in case they disappeared under the 5 foot drifts. I'll take summer and the heat ANY day over that.

I must be crazy, but I love the snow. Maybe because growing up in Oklahoma, we never had any.

I hate the heat. give me a nice 80 degree day and I'm good, but anything much higher and I wilt. Of course, it doesn't help that our summers here are usually about 80-90 % humidity all the time.

80 degrees is too hot for me. Somewhere closer to 70 and fine is a perfect day for me.

It is winter over here. This is my favourite time of year. Our winter average is Min 17.1 (62.78F) and the average Max is 25.7 (78.25F). Two days ago the Min temperature dropped to a freezing 9.5 (49.1F). This is our coldest month.
