It's amazing that we live less than 450 miles apart, but because I am inland, the lobster I spied today in the supermarket was $14.99 a pound. What a mark-up those miles add.

Yes, I do. Thank heavens..I don't know how people are surviving in this steady heat. Add to the mix a full moon, and I'm surprised we aren't having a huge spike in crime. I am noticing more careless drivers, sailing thru lights that are turning red, rolling thru stop signs, pushing the speed limits.

Be careful out there!!!!!

a friend who is a volunteer fireman at his permanent home on The Lake of the Ozarks (huge lake, mid to southern Missouri) posted on Facebook, "Bang! bangaty bang bang Boom! That's the extent of my fireworks this year...too dangerous to set the real ones off".  (I love the bangaty bang bang Boom)

Ha! That's cute!

I've noticed the driving here being lax too.

You want to see dangerous driving you should have been here last week when so many parts of town were without power. So many signals were out and people are supposed to treat them like four way stops. Nope. They would blast on through most of the time. I only saw one accident though there were a few drivers I was ready to slap.

Need some help.

A few minutes ago, the sky got somewhat dark. Then there was a strange rumbling. Then it sounded as if the roof was being pelted.

I just stepped outside. There are these odd, translucent globules falling from the sky. They seem to be -- how best to describe it? -- wet.

Is anyone familiar with this strange phenomenon? What is it called? Is it good? The flowers, tomatoes and beans appear to be in shock.

Don't have a clue. Could it be alien invaders? Put some tin foil on your head, just in case.....

My advice is strip, run through yard, laugh at the sky, and watch for police, outraged neighbors and lightning bolts.
