Are you saying there is NO sugar syrup or sweetener of any kind? ZOWIE! That would wake you up for sure.

I was hoping it was an ice cream confection or frozen ice with Lemon Syrup. I'll bet once tasted, you would never want lemonade again!

And yes, mr smarty pants, I know what a Cocktail shaker is...William Powell and Myrna Loy carried them around in all their pictures.....

If I may quote from my earlier post (being self-referential is one of the few things I do well): "There's a tank of water with sugar and squeezed halves of lemons." (emphasis added) Oh, the fancy folk probably do use sugar syrup.

The County Fairs around us had a Lemon Swirl (or was it Twirl?) -- soft ice cream favored with lemon (probably 1 part lemon and 4,573 parts high fructose corn syrup) in a cone. Or, you could get a Pineapple Swirl/Twirl. Neither the lemons nor pineapples were locally grown, but the high fructose corn syrup certainly was.

Now I'm off to pour some sugar down my throat.

Our lemon shake-ups are made individually:
Juice a half a lemon, pour the juice in the shaker, quarter the lemon half and add them, add sugar, fill with ice then water: shake till your arm hurts, dump into a cup and top off with more ice.
12 ounces for Two Bucks

(They're usually 4 for a little larger ones sold by commercial venders)

The kids have had a bad head cold and conjunctivitis and guess who's got both of them now? Kids, don't you just love them.

I know you're not a tea drinker, Alison, but hot tea with lemon (and a shot of whatever you can find  ) can do wonders. I hope you are over this quickly!!!

I've been drinking hot lemon and honey, it's helped a lot. Poor Molly has been for her first jabs at the vet today, so she's not felt great either, so we've sat on the sofa feeling sorry for ourselves.

She's a real snuggler too when she wants to be and mad as a hatter at other times. She's lots of fun.

I'm still squirting my eye drops but I'm getting on the right side of it. That is until the next child bred illness comes home

Serious health problems have come to light in my household. I don't want to go into it but please remember us. I would take my broken wrist back any day.

Birdy, I hope that whatever happens, you will find yourself feeling empowered by the grace and wisdom within you to deal with this hurdle. I will be thinking of you and yours. Take care of yourself, please.
