Wendy ( may I call you Wendy? ) -- Returning late as I have to the SSO, I know you only slightly. And CharlieT, only from afar!

But even brief acquaintance has given me great admiration of the skill you both have with words, of your insights, humor...

May I wish you both great happiness, health, and wonderful days.

A belated happy birthday!

Sincerely,
Carrie

Thanks Carrie Liz, of course you can call me Wendy! I am always happy to see what you write, you've got a great way with words.

Robert, I am on the complete opposite side of CT. - southeastern shoreline, in Mystic. It would be great to visit with you and Theresa sometime, I'd be flattered to have you visit or to meet somewhere.

Wendy, my late Great Uncle Howard after retirement was a guide at Mystic Seaport. He knew his subject well. So, I have very warm feelings for Mystic.

Wow! That's great! I've known so many guides there, and folks who worked there. It's a great place, especially to show kids the history of the area. I love the Seaport. We go often. I even saw Pete Seeger there once. It's within walking distance of my house, if it's a nice day out.

Well thanks Pardner!

We went down Mexico way (well at least as close as we get in CT.) and had some wonderful ceviche, chilies rellenos, and amazing fresh fig margaritas for our birthday/Valentine celebration. It was almost as good as being in Texas, where the sunshine people live. :D

That chuck wagon better stop along the division of The Three Trails...Santa Fe, California, and Oregon...we even have a huge festival called SantaCaliGon In the fall! Another one is Old Settlers Days. I fit right in with THAT one     :)

So when you turn those wagon wheels to the north and east, tarry awhile along the trail, and practice all those mouthwatering goodies HERE!!!

Knitty, we should probably just have our own festival where everybody makes their own special goodies and we bring our favorite dvds and hang out at some scenic cabins with full kitchens, DVD/Blueray players, and huge HD/LCD screens.

Should we all head for Kansas? Or Missouri? Branson has plenty of great places, too. I'll also bring my Katherine Hepburn brownies recipe!

Lynn, Sue Sue and Carrie - thanks for your birthday greetings and well wishes. We've just completed our 3 day celebration - Thurs. we enjoyed dinner at Red Lobster to observe Valentine's Day, Fri. at Red Robin to celebrate my birthday and today we went to House of Japan with family to mark our 40th wedding anniversary, so I'm a little tardy at acknowledging your posts, but believe me I do appreciate the sentiments. It will be hard to top this next year, but I've got a year to prepare. :)
