That's my problem. I've done all that, but when I put in the temp password it doesn't work.movieman1957 wrote:You'll have to reregister. It sends you an email with a temp password and then you sign in and go to your settings under your name to change it. You, hopefully, are in and ready. .

It took a message from a mod with a password reset for me. You might need one too. (If that isn't what you got.)

I hate it that all my PMs are gone. I had some special ones in there that I have saved for years. Didn't think to print them out.

For what it's worth, I had no problem updating my registration at TCM on Friday evening. The message board structure looks as confusing to me as before, perhaps a little more so. . . .

Re: TCM Message Boards Announcement
Thanks to Lynn and TCModerator I got a password reset that worked and was able to go back to being MissG.
Bronxie, I hope you got it all sorted out.
It's definitely got a lot of stuff going on that I have to get used to...almost like a combination Facebook/Message board, the likes of which I have never seen. When they change they sure go whole hog.

Re: TCM Message Boards Announcement
Are they having trouble this morning? I can't get in through the TCM site. I can through a back door approach but I'd rather come through the front so I can get to other things easily.

What do you mean by "back door"? I just have the actual forum page bookmarked, and got in there fine.

Re: TCM Message Boards Announcement
I couldn't get in by going to TCM and then clicking on the tab in "Community." It gave me the the page that was up last week. I eventually got there by going through google directly to it. Then when I got in if I looked at something and hit the TCM Message Boards right above, in this case, the General DIscussion Forum it kicks me out again.
Given that it is more work around.

Re: TCM Message Boards Announcement
how strange. maybe if you get in again, make sure you click on "follow this topic" so that you get sent email notifications that include a link directly to the forum, if that makes sense?

Re: TCM Message Boards Announcement
Here is the address of the new TCM message boards:
http://turnerclassicmovies.invisionzone.com/
Be aware that when you are in a forum and you want to get out to the main forum page you have two options:
At the top of the forum you are in you should see this:
TCM Message Boards>>>TCM Message Boards>>>> General Discussion (or whatever forum you are in)
Clicking on the first TCM Message Board will take you out to the Main Forum and all other the Forums page
Clicking on the second TCM Message Boards will only take you out to the Main Forum Page but you won't be able to see any of the other forums beyond that.
One glitch I have using Chrome is that clicking on the first TCM Message Boards will result in a Default error page but when I click on the bookmark on my browser toolbar it goes straight to the Message boards.
On my laptop using Chrome, this is not a problem.
Not sure why it is for my desktop computer but I can live with it for now.

Chris,
Masha was right, clearing the cache and cookies (follow the link in her post, it's really simple) solves that problem!
Thanks Masha!
