Re: Vote for Your Favorite Film Figures for the Banner
Love the new banner. Lots of fun guessing some (Roy's hat and Jimmy's snarl give them away), but I'm ashamed at how few I can name for certain.
Wonder who will be the first to identify all ten for us?

I knew all but two of them by sight going in. I don't even know if I've ever seen a movie with either of them. Probably have, just guessing, but not many. I won't name either of the two so as not to spoil the fun!

The November banner gives me more to thankful about this month! Thanks especially for Thelma & Roy (say, that has a catchy ring to it....). Given this month's focus on Silent Stars on TCM, it's good to see Miss Gish & Gilbert too. Great job, Lomm. Can't wait to see December's lineup!

And the director-actor-genius that leads the banner is certainly in the appropriate location.

Lomm,
Could you please in honor of both CineMaven and myself - I would like to give the credit to CineMaven for this quote to be displayed on November (Tuesday) 18th ... When, Gilda is playing on Turner Classic Movies.
"You wouldn't think one woman could marry two insane men in one lifetime."
Thank you Lomm ... just for 1 day!

Sheesh, you act like I have a memory or something!
Sure, just PM me or Moira and remind us the night before.

'Tis the season! Updated for the holidays. As always, if you don't see the new one, hold down your shift key and click the refresh button on your web browser, or empty your internet cache. Also, forgive my indulgence for including my favorite Christmas movie that isn't a Christmas movie (it just MIGHT be the second from the left.
) Who can name all of them?

Re: Vote for Your Favorite Film Figures for the Banner
Congratulations on another GREAT banner. And this is perfect for the season. I find I can do better than usual on naming them, in fact there's only one I can't even guess at, but I won't name any, leaving it to whoever can name all nine.
For the record, as already mentioned, number nine is one of my all=time feel-good movies with one of the best performances ever by your chosen actor.

Lucky, unless I'm somehow miscounting, #9 (from the left) is The Grinch!Lucky Vassall wrote:For the record, as already mentioned, number nine is one of my all=time feel-good movies with one of the best performances ever by your chosen actor.

Re: Vote for Your Favorite Film Figures for the Banner
Well, Boris Karloff is the Grinch. I'm not sure I'd call it his best performance though.

Sorry, I meant number seven.
As for Boris, at least he had more lines than in Frankie Part 1.

I can't make out numbers 3 and 4 from the left.
