CD "albums": Ray Coniff's Complete Columbia Christmas Recordings; Dean Martin: My Kind of Christmas; Martina McBride: The Classic Christmas Album; Santa' Greatest Hits (20th Century Masters Christmas Collection);Johnny Mathis: Merry Christmas; Mad Men Christmas.
Also throw in some Mannheim Steamroller, Mormon Tabernacle Choir, Barbara Streisand, Bette Midler, Anne Murray and a few others.
My wife takes care of selecting the Classical Christmas music.
The car is a 1958 De Soto Fireflite Sportsman hardtop.

Then it is a good thing that I did not post any recently.

Shchedryk is a secular folk song concerning a farmer, his beautiful wife and that his livestock is worth a great deal of money.

Lest any person accuse me of posting Christmas music: a normally accepted translation of the song is:

Pears and apples blossomed on their branches.
River mist was spreading high and wide.
On the steep and lofty bank at morning
Katy came walking by the riverside.

Katy came walking, singing in the morning
Of a brave gray eagle of the steppes,
Of a man she'd come to call beloved
Of a man whose letters she had kept.

Darling song, song of a loving maiden,
Following the sun fly high and straight
Toward a soldier far out on the border
Bringing greetings from yours truly Katy.

Bid him then recall a simple woman,
Bid him hear her voice in every verse,
Bid him with his life guard mother Russia,
And his Katy shall guard their love with hers.

Pears and apples blossomed on their branches.
River mist was spreading high and wide.
On the steep and lofty bank at morning
Katy came walking by the riverside.

Brahms' First Piano Concerto. It is what I listen to when I get aggravated or anxious. It helps that I think it a great piece of music no matter my mood. The Second is a wonderful piece too.

I was referring to ElCid's post.

However, I also didn't click on your imbedded video as I very rarely ever click on them, regardless of source or content. Apologies if you felt targeted.
Watching until the end.

My apologies for misunderstanding.

I fully embrace the 'not clicking on links' attitude as evidenced by my requesting no one post links in: Memes thread. I often make exceptions for embedded music and trailers when I am surfing because they do not take you to other sites and it is often quite difficult to find them by other means.

I did not feel targeted. I merely hoped to inform others that what I posted was not Christmas music because nearly all are now quite tired of it. The: "Lest any person accuse me ..." comment in my later post was a bit of whimsy to distract from the fact that I wished to post lyrics. It is a hard sell to post music which is not in the style many people prefer but a song in a foreign language is often the kiss of death.

I had hoped in this case that some might automatically scan the lyrics and feel it might be worth investigating because a woman in military uniform is singing about a young girl taking a stroll.
