Do you like Tammy Wynette?
Here's one of my favorite of her songs.
"Just follow the stairway . . ."

Byrdmaniax by The Byrds-Jun 1971
The weakest album yet by the group. The first 3 songs are OK, the gospel flavored "Glory Glory" ballads "Pale Blue" and "I Trust" all sung by McGuinn. Bassist Battin ruins things with the next two. "Tunnel Of Love" and "Citizen Kane", the latter a vaudevillian tune about old Hollywood, the worst Byrd song ever and proof that Battin simply does not fit in with this group. My favorite track is McGuinn's jaunty and satiric "I Wanna Grow Up To Be A Politician". McGuinn has a nice ballad "Kathleen's Song" which is drowned out by production. Clarence White does two forgettable songs.

Currently binge watching a show called "This Is Us" that my daughter put on a flash drive for me. On one episode they brought up a tue that got me into also "binge listening" to this very familiar artist. All from being reminded with this song....

I went to a Tammy Wynette concert in Vermont of all places back in the early 1990s. She did a few new songs, but it was
mostly her big hits . At the start of the show she gave a shout out to a couple of guys in the front row. Apparently they were
loyal Tammy fans who went to as many of her concerts as they could. I remember reading that she kept her beauticians''
license current at the start of her career just in case the country music gig didn't pan out. R.I.P. Tammy.
(especially if the house has low ceilings).
