Probably because of that pic you posted the other day of William Talman in it, the first film to come to mind in this regard was 1953's 'The Hitch-Hiker' here, EPM.
(...and btw and in the vein of "great minds thinking alike" here and re Swithin's earlier next...I also had first thought of the young McQueen and she with that sexy overbite Aneta Corsaut smoochin' away in that blue '53 convertible Plymouth of his)
