Yes. I grew up listening to records and AM radio and indeed, it's a monumental record I first heard in the 1960s. My mother loved RAY CHARLES. She had taste.

Ray did have that affect on some of the strangest people. Not implying your Mom was strange. I was more referring to my wife's ex husband, an Alabama man who's deep seated bigotry was so strong he made a Klansman look bleeding heart liberal. Yet, he was a HUGE Ray Charles fan. I kinda grew up with Ray too. The Detroit Dragway, not actually in Detroit, but located on Sibley Rd. near Dix-Toledo Rd. in Riverview, Mi. used Ray's instrumental intro to his "What'd I Say?" for their radio ads.
