(I'm 100% sure she jumped. Fits the character, and most importantly, she pulls a metal handle off a drawer from a piece of furniture to break the window, after she says to Bogie: "You'll never prove anything to anyone, because I won't be there!" It's all crystal clear if you look at the scene again.)

Swithin, I wrote I'm 80 % sure she jumped and I've seen the film so many times I've lost count. It is not crystal clear , yes she does say you won't have me but later on the phone Bogart tells Bacall that she stumbled not that she jumped so it's never made crystal clear. I tend to agree with you but I wouldnt say that she definitely jumped.

(He doesn't want to admit to her that she jumped, and it was just an easy, quick explanation. I guess there is a remote possibility that after she says what she says, she decides to pull a metal handle off a desk drawer, pull the curtains open, and smash the window with the metal piece, which is clear from the sound, just to make it easier for her to "stumble" out. Maybe she just did that for fun.)
