Re: What actor/actress comes to mind?
Robert Cummings and Norman Lloyd and Pricilla Lane
It was just a quick ,easy explanation! For you maybe, quick and easy because it fits your opinion. lol. It would have been just as easy for Bogarrt to say she jumped. For the umpteenth time, I wrote for the most part I agree with you.
Next : eating or selling pickles

Groucho Marx (but only because of all those years of watching and listening to that cartoon Vlasic Pickles stork doing Groucho on those commercials...and of which btw I always thought was Pat Harringtion Jr. supplying the voice, but it turns out it was actually Ron Masak)

But still, do look at that scene again sometime, and let me know what you think of the fact that she turned away from him, pulled that metal thing off the desk, pulled the curtains aside, and broke the window with it. Her jump was her final desperate passion against Bogie, it was the only way she could totally deprive him of any hope. ("Without me, you don't have a witness.") It is so clear that she turns away from him, pulls the thing off the desk, pulls the curtain, goes behind it, and breaks the window, after her passionate jealous tirade. So I think even your 80% would melt into 100% if you look at the scene.)
