Remember the Night (40)
this was the first to come to mind, not sure if it is my fave. I am a big Fred MacM fan so that helped
N. favorite Fred MacMurray movie
Dargo, I have an idea what you might say on this one
Re: First Film that comes to mind...
I have a feeling because you know my second favorite film of all time is 'The Apartment', you're thinking this would come first to my mind, right laffite?! Well, actually it didn't and because even though Fred did get third billing in that movie, because Jack Lemmon so brilliantly and completely dominates that film, I've never much thought of it as being a "Fred MacMurray movie" in any manner. And so the film that actually did first come to my mind in this regard was...'Double Indemnity'.
Next: a dive bar
Re: First Film that comes to mind...
You're right on all counts regarding Fred and 'The Apartment.' I recall the latter as being number one for you, may I know what has eclipsed it at the pinnacle?Dargo wrote: ↑March 14th, 2024, 3:53 pmI have a feeling because you know my second favorite film of all time is 'The Apartment', you're thinking this would come first to my mind, right laffite?! I'm going with Days of Wine and Roses, I am recalling where Jack is sitting at the bar and buys his other person a drink, "...and give her one of those mothers." Or was that The Apartment. And that might not be a dive. Jack gets around, doesn't he?
next : a movie with very little or no music (background, non-diagetic)
