I first saw this when I was a kid too and couldn't believe that that was Oliver Wendell Douglas!
Coming up on TCM...

I think I first saw Attack! in the early 1960s ... and then years later when I watched Eddie Albert on Green Acres, I kept hoping every week he would take a shotgun to all the crazies who surrounded him.
By the way. my favorite line from the film is when Jack Palance threatens Albert by saying "I'll shove this grenade down your throat and pull the pin."

Actually the first casualty of war is Truth.
The car is a 1958 De Soto Fireflite Sportsman hardtop.

Haven't seen the movie and missed it this time.
But, I learned in Army training that you never pull the pin on a hand grenade with your teeth. You will damage your teeth even if you succeed.

It's been in the rotation over on one of PlutoTV's movie channels, although of course with ads. Not a bad movie, although at times it felt a bit stagy.

I re-watched A MATTER OF LIFE AND DEATH recently when it was on the Criterion Channel.
It's a movie I watch again and again and discover new things.
I've always found it interesting that the sequences in the real world are in color while the ones in the supernatural sphere are in black-and-white.

EAST OF EDEN is scheduled at 12:15 PM Eastern as part of TCM's 2024 Father's Day line-up.
I've seen this movie many times, but I will probably watch it again.
