"Formal Introductions"

Post by Vecchiolarry »

Hi Everyone,

OK folks, watch out - - I'm here!!!!!!

Moira happily sent me an E-mail and informed me of and invited me to this message board.
It's so nice to see so many of my great old friendly faces here.

I didn't see an "Introduction" topic here so I started this one. I hope it's OK and in the right arena. If not, maybe one of you more knowledgeable people can put it where it belongs..

Thanks and let's have a good time like we did back in 1954; well, OK 2004.....

Larry

Nice to see you Larry. If you would re-start your thread here many of us would love to read it. Also, you can type out a long essay at this forum and it won't disappear when you post like "somewhere else".

Larry, There's a "General Chat" Forum for non-movie discussions. That might have been the place for "Introductions"; but heck, it's so good to see you here, I'm not sure it really matters.

Good Morning Everyone,

Thanks for all the welcomes and greetings. Makes one feel good and wanted.
As I said before, I'm really thrilled to see so many friends here - all good people. We need good people and should encourage more; I'm sure you agree. I have some suggestions, but will PM a couple of you to see what you think....

My God, Jack Burley - have you morphed into Moraldo Rubini? And, from San Francisco to Manhattan, that's some mophicacation (is that a word?); wow 3000 miles and a whole new ID.. Only you, man, only you!!!!!! Good to see you!!!!

I had actually wondered where a lot of people disappeared from TCM and thought the flaming flare-ups or flaring flame-ups ruined that board forever.
And, it hasn't gotten really much better. Now we have someone over there turning every movie into a gay film. I don't read many threads there or answer many there anymore.

Mr. Arkadin -
I may repost my "Reminiscences" thread here in future but this week, I'm busy, busy, busy.
Since I retired in 2004, I've never worked so hard or been away from my condo as much. I have 6 big books I need to read that I ordered months ago but haven't had the time.

Glad I'm here and with you all!!
