You've got the trolley off the track, There's nothing racist about CABIN IN THE SKY,. It depicted life as was during the depression. would you say that every movie with a negro in the cast was racist?

I liked the movie very much because of the cast I had a long time case on Waters from when she was younger and weighed less. ( Am I blue ) I liked anderson. Horrne, Best, moreland, Nicodemus and Butterfly. great cast great movie nothing rascist .... mel3

CCF, great pics of the boys! Errol is in my top four guys actors. Tyrone is frist, then Errol, then Cary, then Burt Lancaster! You got two out of four, nice. I always said I looked a lot like Errol. Of course, NO ONE agrees with me!

I really liked the pic of Gilbert, very "movie star."

And, Buster Keaton? Well, different strokes. I suppose he was quite a guy, but I heard he quit some studio or something because they wouldn't let him be him. A rebel!

Gary getting ready for the bathing scene in Wolf Song (1929). This film is lost, unfortunately.

I will need to check, but I am 99.9% certain I saw most of Wolf Song at a Cinecon some years back. As I recall, it was from 16mm and mostly complete. That said, I certainly and emphatically do not recall this scene!

Hi Rudyfan,
It's possible you did see Wolf Song as fragments of it survive but I don't know how much and last I heard there was no score for what did survive. It would be nice, if there is enough for a studio to consider it worthwhile, if it would be included as a bonus feature or something in another dvd release of some of his Paramount films.

Maybe the bathing scene is lost and that's a real shame

Errol Flynn by Hurrell is one of my favorite pictures of him.

Cary, is so handsome, he aged very well but I preferred him with a little more meat on him in the late '30's films.

Gene has to be seen full length and in motion to fully appreciate him.

Rudyfan, I love the stills of Rudy. I always think he is so much more handsome on screen, esecially in his later films when his humour is allowed to come through.

Buster, when he was in his prime was very toned, he has a little boy lost look about him too. I think Buster had two problems that led to his later problems, his wife and MGM.

Never been a huge Gary Cooper fan but what a lovely chest

Thanks for the Brian Aherne photos. I didn't used to think he was any big deal but have lately decided he was so handsome...especially in What Every Woman Knows with those gorgeous dimples and swoop of curly hair. I'm trying to find a picture of him from that movie but all I can find are goofy shots. And Merrily We Live is one of my favorite movies. He certainly wears a tux well. ..
