The source indicates that the picture was taken between 1939/1940.
The following image of Garbo and Mr. Hauser was taken in 1940.

Wow, so she was still at MGM! Are there any movie scenes of her that capture this relaxed happiness? So seemingly carefee? Maybe Act II of Camille... Thanks Joe!

I'd have guessed the same as you Moraldo. She looks so much prettier, carefree. It lifts her face and peels back the years. She would have been 35 but could pass for much younger in these shots.

Great Garbo pics! I saved both of them.

Fabulous GINA!

Patriotic Paulette looks marvelous all wrapped up (with a bow)!

And, was Errol really that tall? They remind me of Harlow and Carnera.

Errol Flynn was 6' 2" tall. No doubt the trainer was a wee bit short.

Well, 6'2" is pretty tall, especially back then. But, by today's standard, it's not tall enough! Ha! I was always 5'11", and thought I was pretty tall, but I just went to the doctor's, and he measured me. I am now 5'10"! I'm shrinking!

I guess a lot of the male stars back then were tall: Gary, Cary, Errol, John Payne, etc.

Thanks for the quick response, M2, and say, do you still have that picture of Jean and Primo? How tall was he?

Cary Grant was 6ft 1, I seem to remember from somewhere. Errol Flynn 6 ft 2 as was said. I think Gable must be around the 6ft mark. James Stewart and John Wayne I believe were 6ft 4 and 6ft 5. Marlon Brando 5ft 9, as was Sinatra and Fred Astaire, Gene Kelly was 5ft 7, Chaplin was 5ft 6 and Buster Keaton 5ft 5. Don't ask me how I remember these, I've looked them up at some time in the past.

Around 6ft is perfect for me being a shorty myself. 6ft 5 would look a tad ridiculous with me  .

Please excuse my absolute ignorance but is Nancy Davis also known as Nancy Reagan?
