That tells you something about how powerful Gable and Lombard's allure is - I even failed to see the crazy plastic suit...

Re: *CANDIDS*
I noticed him, because everyone around him seem so animated and engaged in the party, while he doesn't seem to be there. He has a far-off look in his face; forlorn. He's thinking of something else. Maybe he's longing for his lost childhood or wishing he could go snowboarding in Aspen. I bet he goes to his big warehouse after the party. The great yawning warehouse that holds artifacts from his past...JackFavell wrote:That tells you something about how powerful Gable and Lombard's allure is - I even failed to see the crazy plastic suit...

William Daniels... ahhh. I am one of those very lucky people who saw the original Broadway production of 1776 and I remember it all vividly -- especially, for some reason, Scott Jarvis' heartrending rendition of "Mama Look Sharp" and also the great emotion of the ending as the bells peal more and more loudly while the delegates sign the Declaration of Independence.
Sadly, Scott Jarvis died age 46 from AIDs in 1990. :(
Scott Jarvis
Stephen Nathan played the Courier in the movie version of 1776. He went on to a successful and busy career producing and writing for television.

That is a funny picture, isn't it? Stanwyck and Cooper look like an old married couple, the way they are sitting, leaning in to one another.

Wendy, it is funny since the married couple Flynn & Damita are not facing each other while she is talking to another man (I wish I knew who he was).
Gotcha, PT.
