I know we have some people from the UK and other European locations on the boards so I'm hoping all is well with them and they're not stranded anywhere.
My wife and I really lucked out. We were thinking of taking a tour of Scotland this spring, but for various reasons decided to wait until next year. Had we gone, this would have been the weekend we would have been flying home. There are worst places to be stranded in than Scotland or anyplace in the UK, for that matter, but I feel sorry for the folks who are stuck someplace. When the 9/11 attacks happened in 2001, we were on a tour of Ireland. As it worked out, we only were delayed two days getting home and the tour company picked up our hotel costs, but the uncertainty in those first few days of not knowing when we might get home was scary.
