I go away for two days and this happens!! Oh, Larry, please take care of yourself. You are far too lively and young (in every way that matters) to have such things befall you. I really hope that knowing the diagnosis means that treatment will readily restore you to your normal self. I know that many people would be terribly disappointed if you were not to make an appearance at the TCM Festival--or here at the SSO for that matter.
Cheers,
Moira

Well, it looks like I may need those 3 lovely nurses in the picture for TLC...
Just got back from the doctors today, and I am going into the hospital to test for meningitis..
He did test again for E-coli and found traces of memingitis near the brain base.
I can't afford to be any more brain dead than I already am, so I'll be getting a series of needles and one spinal tap...
So, I have had to cancel my TCM Festival trip, as it takes a week to recover from the treatment....
I was so looking forward to seeing Lynn, Kyle, Paula, Marco and Christie and everyone else going....
You must all have a little 'nip of tiddlie' (as Mary Boland would often say to us in the old days) for me and do toast dear old Mary too!!! Loved her dearly...
Dear Larry,
How vexing! As the Countess DeLave was wont to say at such moments--"Get me a bromide - and put some gin in it."
I'll be thinking and praying for you until you are back in fine form. Please take care.
Moira
Same goes to me ... Larry ... I have been reading the past 6-12 posts and I fully understand what you are going through. Thanks for the updates and I will be thinking of you as you recover from it.
Larry, I'm so sorry to hear about your health complications. Kick back, relax and get better - we're all thinking of you. Here's Paulette lounging around to keep you company while you are recuperating. Feel better soon!
Larry -
I've been offline and out and about...
But so sorry to hear and about your illness...
WALNUTS?!?!
Can we not eat anything anymore?
Do they think the meningitis came before or with?
Keep us posted and sorry to hear about your missed trip,
I'll be sitting home like you with a stack of DVD faves at hand.
Your friend in film,
Birdy
Well, I survived 3 needles to the back of the neck and 1 spinal tap - - and lived!!!
Not a pleasant journey and I am sore and quite black and blue - hands, feet and neck... I now know what a pin cushion feels like and I hate needles...
And, very exhausted...
The diagnosis is that I probably don't have meningitis(????).....
So, even though I'm home on this the first TCM day in LA, I wouldn't be able to endure the quick pace(s)...
I am with you in spirit and hope you will have a burger & some 'tiddlie' for me!!
Hopefully, next year I'll be there and can "roar" with the best of you!!!
hi Larry!
I am so glad to hear you don't have meningitis, and that you are past the tests. I've always heard they are really rough to endure. We can commiserate, I would love to be in LA, too. I wanted to take the train again, did that in 2002. What fun! Well, maybe next year.. We'll share a glass or two of tiddlie and watch movies like mad!
